# World Wardle
> A global competitive Wordle tournament based on publicly shared results on Bluesky. No sign-up required.

## What is World Wardle?
World Wardle automatically collects publicly posted Wordle results from Bluesky and runs daily 1v1 battles, weekly tournaments, and season championships. Players compete by posting their standard Wordle result (e.g. "Wordle 1837 2/6") to Bluesky — World Wardle detects it automatically.

## How it works
- Solve the daily Wordle at nytimes.com/games/wordle and post your result to Bluesky
- World Wardle scans Bluesky hourly and records your score automatically
- Each day you are randomly matched against one other player; the lower guess count wins the battle
- Points accumulate: performance (guesses), battle result (win/tie/loss), and daily streaks
- Weekly tournaments award placement bonuses; seasons span multiple weeks and crown a champion

## Scoring
- Performance: 1 guess = 5 pts, 2 = 4 pts, 3 = 3 pts, 4 = 2 pts, 5 = 1 pt, 6 = 0 pts
- Battle: Win = 2 pts, Tie = 1 pt, Loss = 0 pts
- Streak bonus: +1 pt for playing the previous day
- Weekly placement: 1st = 15 pts, 2nd = 10 pts, down to 10th = 1 pt

## Privacy
World Wardle only collects scores from posts that are already public on Bluesky. Players can opt out via the How It Works page.
